Story
Some of our friends will know that our daughter Elsie has alopecia. We have successfully been able to cover her patches for quite a while but have now reached a point that it makes most sense to shave off the hair that remains. We are so fortunate to be able to get a wig for Elsie from the Little Princess Trust and wanted to share a little fundraiser.
We also gave Elsie a choice of which parent she wanted to have their head shaved with her. Elsie has chosen Daddy. Always thinking of others, her concern was that her baby brother might not recognise mummy without hair and he might be confused. ❤️
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
We understand that Christmas is an expensive time of year and we do not expect people to give. We have started the fundraising with our donation to this wonderful charity and will share the link so those who are able or wish to can support too.
We are so proud of our beautiful girl who takes everything in her stride and who confidently explains about her condition to others. Thank you to everyone who has given her and us support.
