Story

Thank you for taking time to visit my Just Giving page, any donations are very much appreciated.

I'm Beatrix Barna, a single mum to my amazing daughter, Mila. I work in Lidl as a Deputy Store Manager. Let me share with you the two main reasons why I would like to fundraise.

My dad suddenly passed away a month ago. I'm still at the very beginning of the grieving process, lots of sleepless nights and I often find myself crying in the car before my day has even began.

I have never felt any pain like this and loosing a parent is a pain I couldn't begin to describe, nor know how to overcome this sadness.

When I returned to work, I came across this thrill seeking experience and I instantly knew that this was the cure to bring me back to life. I felt like this is just what I needed to help me cope with the pain: try something new, something exciting, have something to look forward to.

Also it's a massive bonus that while I'm helping myself, I'm able to support an amazing charity which's main focus is to stop child abuse. As a mum, my daughter's safety and well-being is my main priority at all times so I'll be very greatful to able to support NSPCC.

I will keep you updated how Mila gets involved with the fundraising and how I'm preparing for the big day.

I hope I'll make Mila proud!

The Challenge:

I'm participating in The Big Skydive event organised by Lidl to support our Charity Partner, the NSPCC.

This will be my first skydiving and I will jump on 22.10.2023 from over 10,000 feet high.

The Charity:

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse

That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
