Story
To celebrate the 80th birthday of Sir Paul McCartney on the 18th June, Liverpool's award-winning attraction The Beatles Story is raising funds and awareness for Nordoff Robbins, a charity supported by Macca himself.
Nordoff Robbins stand for music and believe in the value of music for all people in our society. Their vision is to live in a world where, through music therapy, human potential is recognised regardless of profound disability, illness or social exclusion. Supporting thousands of people in centres around the UK, the charity works in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals.
Paul first visited the Nordoff Robbins' London centre in 1986. In 1988, Paul received a Silver Clef Award, in recognition of his work with the charity and in the same year donated an autographed Hofner bass guitar.
