I lost my wife, Beat Mutyaba, to Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) in December 2021. She was 43 years old and had fought the disease for many years -- a true warrior. Her light and humour in the face of immense difficulty and pain -- even close to the end -- was an inspiration for so many of her friends and family. We miss her terribly.
PH is rare, serious and misunderstood. It has a huge impact on people’s lives, and PHA UK is dedicated to reducing that burden through support, advice, information and advocacy. They raise awareness and fund research to provide better treatments, with the hope of one day finding a cure for this devastating disease.
The PHA UK receives no government funding, so every penny donated plays a vital role in helping them support people to live better lives with PH.
Please donate to this cause and keep growing PHA's work and support. Beat would have wanted any fundraising to contribute to their great range of activities. Help me to raise £1,000...or even more!
What am I doing? Well, it's about 43kms from my house to the Greenwich Meridian and back across London (that's just over a marathon) -- a kilometre for every day Beat graced this earth. She deserved so many more, but it wasn't to be. Come and join me, if you want a stroll and to provide some company!
