Story

In support of our charity of the year 2024 – child bereavement charity Simon Says – the BCMS team is walking the spectacular Jurassic Coast, in Dorset, in May.

Please help us in any way you can. Simon Says does incredible work across Hampshire, helping children and young people, up to the age of 18, when someone close to them has died or is dying.

We are mainly novice walkers, so hiking 25km in a day, along World Heritage Coastline, will be no mean feat – whatever the weather!

In preparation, we’ve dusted down walking boots, dug cagouls out of the drawers, and remembered (with some horror) that we were never able to use a compass or a map. We have dodgy knees, bad backs, and all kinds of ailments. BUT THAT’S OK, as it’s all in support of a fantastic cause. And our Team Captain Sarah Bates has apparently put in a rigorous training plan in place…

More pictures when we have them, but to read more about Simon Says and BCMS’ commitment to giving back, click here.
