We help seriously & terminally ill children to bring Hope & support across the UK

Story

Thank you for visiting BCL Power's JustGiving page, dedicated to raising money for Samuel's Charity - https://www.samuelscharity.org.uk. They are a charity that is committed to supporting seriously and terminally ill children across the UK, both in hospital and at home.

The charity's mission originated and was heavily inspired by a young individual (a 9-year-old called Samuel), who despite battling cancer, sought to improve the hospital experience for other children than it was for him, this was his dying wish and most heartfelt desire. We want to help Samuel's Charity towards their goals of enhancing the environment for seriously and terminally ill children both at home and in underfunded hospitals and children's wards, challenging conventional practices, alongside helping them gain access to Wi-Fi, games consoles and sensory equipment. Through these efforts, Samuel's Charity helps to make the children feel loved and cared for, reassured and supported during these challenging times, as they want their care and treatment to be less scary and daunting, as they can instead feel loved and special.

We are participating in a company appeal event - BCL Power Skydive on September 5th, 2024, to raise funds for this important cause. Please consider supporting us in making a difference in the lives of these brave children.

Samuels Charity began because of the experience of Samuel, who died at the age of nine from cancer. He was concerned about the other children in the ward and in other hospital wards across the UK. Before he died he left a legacy dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of children like him.
