Story
Child Health at Basingstoke Hospital are walking 25 miles to raise money for our services! We are walking from Winchester to Basingstoke, in hope to raise funds for Child Health at Basingstoke hospital. The money raised will be donated to The Magic Lion Appeal, which will be allocated to the children's units on G Floor at Basingstoke hospital, Charlie's Day Unit, G2 Ward, Outpatients and the Play Team.
What is The Magic Lion Appeal?
Enhancing hospital care for children and young people in Hampshire. Every day, children and young people in Hampshire need care and support.
The Magic Lion Appeal aims to enhance hospital care for children and young people in Hampshire through improvements to our child health department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT). By raising funds, we're supporting a reconfiguration of child health space in Winchester and upgrades in Basingstoke, Andover and Alton. This will allow our patients to be seen in an environment that ensures they get the best possible care in a way that suits their needs.
For all of us, coming into hospital can be scary. We want to make sure that whether its a first time visit or a routine appointment, children, young people and their families at HHFT feel as comfortable, safe and at ease as they can be. But we cannot do it without your help.
