About This Challenge

I have had my stoma since 18 May 2018 and every day since has been a trial. Leaks, odours and very strange noises. But as any stoma wearer will tell you that despite everything, we’re still alive, which was the only alternative in all our cases. And, like everyone else, mine has got a name.

Meet Vladimir Poopin – my rebellious, outspoken stoma. Many of you will have read what he gets up to stuck, as he is, on my belly. He’s been parpping and gurgling away today, urging me to get ready for the April 2025 fund raising month.

This April, as part of Step Up for Stomas, I’ll be sharing 200 stoma-related jokes, micro-stories, or poems to raise awareness and support for Colostomy UK.
