Team Endeavour will this year, in honour of all those who took part in Operation Overlord on 6th June 1944 complete a walk across the invasion beaches of Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.

The walk will start at the first town to be liberated, St Mere Eglise and then west to the start of Utah beach, continuing across the beaches, cliffs and footpaths that now remain of the invasion locations from that incredible day.

The distance of 52 miles will be covered in 3 days, with each member of our volunteer team carrying the infantry fighting weight of 25lbs. The route across the beaches will encompass a significant number of sites of incredible bravery and conflict, and several of these locations will be explored and a short presentation given to highlight and “bring to life” the actions and events that took place.
