Story
Due to the severe weather forecast on 4th October 2025, with Storm Amy bringing 95mph winds, we’ve made the sad but sensible decision to postpone our adventure. Safety must come first - for our team and for the mountain rescue services who may otherwise be put at risk in such dangerous conditions.
We’ll now be tackling the Three Peaks on 30th May 2026, and we’re as determined as ever to complete it!
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated - your support means the world and we hugely appreciate every penny that has been sent.
We’ll keep you updated as we prepare for the new date. Thanks again for your understanding and encouragement!
In 2024, following an incredibly brave battle, our good friend and colleague Henry Barringer passed away from an aggressive brain tumour. Those of us that were lucky enough to know him appreciate that he was never one to turn down a challenge and with this in mind, our team at Oakbank Game & Conservation have decided to take on one of the ultimate tests in the UK! On 30th May 2026, 'Barringer's Army' will be attempting to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge - by climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 hours, to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. We know that Henry would have been our biggest cheerleader were he taking part with us, helping us along every step of the way with encouraging words, banter and a huge amount of laughter!
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
