Story
Jamie Evans and Tomas Lozano Fernandez from Barclaycard are attempting to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for ABTA LifeLine. The challenge consists of a 12 hour 24.5 mile treacherous hike through the peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent. The combined altitude for the challenge is 5200ft.
We are supporting ABTA LifeLine as some of our travel community are really struggling with the cost of living crisis. ABTA LifeLine continues to provide practical, emotional and financial support to those in real need. £50 will help with a basic food shop; £100 debt, benefit or housing advice, £300 counselling support. But the charity does so much more. From school uniform to fridges, funerals to crisis grants to help with rent, mortgage and council tax, their support stretches far and wide.
One recent beneficiary said:
‘LifeLine provided me with energy and food vouchers as winter set in and the temperature dropped. They also supported me getting a new freezer, which was invaluable as I was able to freeze meals and save money on food costs. I don’t know what would have happened without the support of LifeLine. My mental health is slowly recovering, and this charity has played a very special part in my recovery.’
Please donate whatever you are able. A small contribution right now could make a big difference to someone else. Every donation will support travel industry colleagues who need it most.
