Fundraising for WYE VALLEY NHS TRUST UMBRELLA CHARITY
£705
raised of £1,000 target
Riding the Extra Mile, 10 October 2024
Following on from the successful maternity bereavement suite appeal, fundraising has begun to create a dedicated baby memorial garden within the grounds of Hereford County Hospital.

Story

The Born Sleeping Appeal at Hereford County Hospital was first started to fund a dedicated bereavement suite for families experiencing one of the most devastating times in their life. Since the success of the bereavement suite, the Born Sleeping Appeal has helped provide bereaved families with specialist care and resources. Every penny goes towards supporting bereaved families at Hereford County Hospital.

During Baby Loss Awareness Week 2024 (BLAW), together staff from the maternity department are participating in the 'Riding the Extra Mile' charity appeal on October 10, 2024. Our goal is to raise £5,000 to help fund the creation of a new Baby Memorial Garden and continue to support local bereaved parents with funding for specialist counselling, equipment and care.

Join us in supporting this incredible cause and help honour our precious sleeping babies.
