Hey there!

This June, I'm taking on a personal challenge to make a difference in the lives of children and families at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. I’m taking on the ‘Step into Summer: 100km in June’ to support Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Over the next few weeks, I will be running 100 kilometres for this incredible charity. Alder Hey is a place where miracles happen every day, and with your support, we can ensure that these miracles continue. Every step I take is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children who need it most. With your support, I can reach my target of £1000 and make a real impact.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is one of the largest and busiest children’s hospitals in Europe, providing care for over 330,000 young patients each year. This hospital is a sanctuary of hope and healing, where dedicated professionals work tirelessly to provide exceptional care and innovative treatments. By supporting Alder Hey, you are helping to:

- Fund Critical Equipment: Your donations will help purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment.

- Support Groundbreaking Research: Contributions will fund essential research into childhood diseases, aiming to find new treatments and cures.

On a personal note, I trained at Alder Hey during my undergraduate years as a medical student. The charity is dear to heart as my own nephew underwent open heart surgery at 3 years of age at Alder Hey Hospital. The care we received as a family was amazing. I feel it’s time to give back.
