Story
Hello everyone! I'm raising money for Stonewall this month.
I had top surgery last month, and have just been given the ok to exercise again - it's feels so great to be free! However, I've had post surgical fatigue preventing me from returning to my usual level of exercise - I can't work out, swim properly or run like I used to. So I'm hoping the drive to do 10k steps a day will help me to get my fitness and energy back.
As well as being the UK's biggest LGBT+ charity, they currently have two campaigns very close to my heart:
1. The fight to ban conversion therapy in the UK - a usually religious practice aiming to "cure" lgtb+ people, which is shockingly still legal. The government has suggested banning it apart from for trans people, which is insulting: https://www.stonewall.org.uk/our-work/campaigns/ban-conversion-therapy
2. Responding to the Government's trans guidance for schools, which will lead to trans kids being isolated, bullied, rejected and fuel self-hatred: https://www.stonewall.org.uk/our-work/campaigns/support-trans-youth-respond-government-consultation
If you can't donate anything, I'd love it if you'd write to your MP about these issues and fill in the consultation!
