We provide vital treatment, care & support to cancer patients and families in Wales

Story

I'm participating in the 17km Velindre Castle to Castle Run, and my daughter Avyakta is taking on the 1-Mile-A-Day Challenge in August. We're raising funds for the Velindre Cancer Centre in memory of my late wife, Saujanya.

This cause is deeply meaningful to us, as we aim to extend support to individuals undergoing similar journeys, including patients, families, and staff. Having personally experienced this journey, we comprehend the profound impact it has on one's life.

Velindre, the Hospital of Hope has been providing specialist treatment and supportive care to cancer patients and families for over 65 years.

Your donations will be contributed towards number of areas including:

- Range of complimentary therapies for patients and staff members

- Children’s resources including memory boxes, worry monsters and educational books on how to explain a cancer diagnosis to child

- Maintenance of family room and children’s room which allows families to spend private and quality time with their loved ones while in the hospital

- Wig vouchers to support patients in purchasing their first wig

These donations will significantly enhance the care and support provided to patients, ultimately leading to improved experiences and outcomes.
