EAAA's Trek 24 - Suffolk 2024 · 18 May 2024 ·

Welcome to EAAA's Trek 24 - Suffolk page. This team will be taking on 24 miles or 24 kilometres on Saturday 18 May 2024. When you support our trekkers with a donation, you'll be helping to keep our helicopters flying!

Story

In 2011 we needed the services of the East Anglian Air Ambulance when my family was involved in a car crash. The Air Ambulance took Iris to Addenbrooks Hospital and gave her the best chance of survival that she could have had at that time.

In her memory I have signed up for the 24 mile Trek 24 in Suffolk on 18th May as a way of saying thank you to the crew for the care they were able to provide on that day, and to help them carry on with the work that means so much to those affected and their families.

EAAA receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the support of the community.

The crews are tasked an average of 8 times a day across the two bases, with each mission costing in the region of £3,750. They can reach anywhere in the region within 25 minutes when every second can make the difference to a patient in their time of need.

So please help us to raise some money for them to continue the fantastic work they do. Thank you :) xx
