Story

Every year on Aurelia Close, we fully embrace the spirit of Christmas and light up our houses to celebrate the festive season. We love to see how many people come to visit our street each year!

As we did last year, we’ll be raising money for a cause that is very close to our hearts. In 2021, one of the younger residents of Aurelia Close was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a life limiting, muscle wasting disease for which there is no cure.

Bruce's Battle Squad was set up to support Duchenne UK, a charity that has one clear aim: to end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This is the charity we have chosen to raise funds and awareness for, and your support is so gratefully received.

We’ll be lighting up Aurelia Close at 5pm on Sunday 1st December, and we’d love for you to join us when we switch the lights on!

Bruce's Battle Squad supports Duchenne UK, a charity that has one clear aim: to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys.

Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.
