Story
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help.
They're here every day and night of the year for anyone struggling to cope and can be reached by phone, letter, email and face to face.
As part of the Samaritans' campaign to make suicide prevention a priority, the Manchester & Salford branch are planning on introducing a Samaritans service to local schools, colleges and universities to provide the student population with vital support... but they need donations to help kickstart this project.
A core value at Atmos International (Atmos) involves being brilliant together, so around 20 Atmos colleagues will be undertaking the National Three Peaks challenge in under 24 hours to raise funds for the Manchester & Salford Samaritans.
The challenge will see us hike the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
All funds raised for this challenge will go directly to the Manchester & Salford Samaritans and their plans to introduce a support service to local schools, colleges and universities.
