International Ataxia Awareness Day 2022, 25 September 2022
Too many people with ataxia struggle to receive a diagnosis. Many medical professionals are unaware of ataxia, so this IAAD we are walking together to our GP surgeries to deliver specialist Guidelines to support them and raise awareness and funds.

Story

The Ataxia UK Farnham Support Group are fundraising for Ataxia UK and supporting their Two Steps Towards Speedier Ataxia Diagnosis - International Ataxia Awareness Day 2022 campaign.

As a group, we're focusing on two awareness campaigns this week:

1. We have a table with ataxia literature at the Aldershot Pools & Fitness Centre all week. Several times throughout the week there will also be a group member present to answer any questions about ataxia.

2. On Saturday 24th September we'll be setting up a similar table with ataxia literature in Morrison's, Aldershot (at the front entrance). There will also be a group of us throughout the day present and ready to answer any questions about ataxia.

In addition to these, some group members are also delivering the Ataxia UK Medical Guidelines to a local GP surgery.

For a group of people that prefer to take things slowly, we have a lot on this week!
