Story

February marks National Heart Month!!

Wear Red any day this month and support the work of ECHO.

This is a fundraiser that is exceptionally close to our hearts as our son was born with a cardiac condition that was diagnosed postnatally.

He has been through ups and downs and spent his first months in hospital.

Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is the most common birth defect and affects just under 1 in 100 babies born throughout the UK. The range of conditions and treatments available mean that for children and parents the treatment pathway can be very different to anyone else they might meet with CHD.

As a family we have been supported by ECHO, and we invite you to support the charity and raise awareness during February’s National Heart Month, to help ECHO continue to support and connect a community of children, young people and families affected by CHD.

ECHO receives no government or NHS funding and relies solely on public generosity, and so the support of the community is crucial.

It is a registered charity and further details of the support they offer can be found at www.echo-uk.org.

Dig deep into those pockets this February!
