Story
Our story began in July 2023 when my wife and I welcomed our son, Jaxx, into the world prematurely at just 24 weeks and 5 days. Despite his incredible strength and fight, we had to say a heart-breaking goodbye to Jaxx three weeks later.
By mid-2024, we shared the news that we were expecting again. Tragically, this was short lived and in November my wife gave birth to another baby born who was born sleeping.
In honour of our two boys, I will be donning my walking boots and climbing the highest single free mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro. With a height of 5895 meters and 49% less available oxygen of that at sea level, accompanied by one dodgy knee, this won’t be an easy challenge for me.
I will be raising money for Sands, a still birth and neonatal death charity who provide vital research and support to anyone affected by baby loss. They do fantastic work and solely rely on donations to survive.
I appreciate it is a tough time economically right now, but any donation helps. Even a quid.
Thank you for reading our story and thank you in advance for your support.
