I am joining Team IDAS in the York 10K 2024 because I want to make sure that anyone subjected to domestic abuse or sexual violence can access support.

IDAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire, supporting women, men and children who have been subjected to domestic abuse and sexual violence in York, North Yorkshire, Barnsley, and Sheffield. Their services include a free, confidential helpline, one-to-one and group outreach work, and refuge accommodation.

During 2022 IDAS received 18,000 referrals, answered 25,000 helpline calls, supported more than 10,000 people in their local community, and accommodated 250 families in their emergency refuge accommodation.

IDAS need our support so that they can reach more people whose lives have been devastated by violence and abuse. Please give as much as you can. Thank you.
