The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.

The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

The cost for the creation of one wig is £700 which is the amount I am trying to raise by shaving my head and donating all of the hair I cut off.

I have been thinking about shaving my head for a while, and have now finally decided to do it and it feels great:)

The two main reasons why I wanted to do it was to prove to myself that I could be brave and do something that typically goes against societal beauty standards and still feel good in my own body and within myself (I do, phew...)The other reason was to raise money as I'm doing now, as I this is something I really care about. I feel so grateful to be healthy and be in a position to donate my hair to someone who needs it or who has gone through a lot medical treatments and lost their hair along the way. So I hope this little action can help someone feel a little bit better.
