Story

So this year I am back with an even bigger challenge! This time I am going to conqour the National Three Peaks!

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. This is an iconic challenge and regarded as one of the UK’s toughest mountain events.

The total walking distance is 25 miles (40km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.

This consists of, the tallest 3 mountains in the UK......

Ben Nevis - Scotland (1345m)

Scafell Pike - England (978m)

snowdon - Wales (1085m)

In order to be able to take part in the event I have been told i need to raise £1000!

Last year I took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks and completed in 11 hours 15 minutes and raised just over £1000 for the Tiny Toes Appeal.

The charity I will be raising money for is Rotherham Hospital And Community Charity, Rotherham Hospital has been fantastic over the years for me and my family. Both my children were born here prematurly in theatre, my wife needed care after both births due to complications both times so, its time to give something back, Again!

This time the charity is raising money to improve the care and comfort for people with dementia as this can be a scary time for paitents and families.

Dementia affects more than just memory—it affects families, relationships, and independence. At The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, we see first hand the challenges that dementia patients and their loved ones face every day. That's why we’ve launched our Dementia Appeal—to enhance the care and support we provide to some of our most vulnerable and elderly patients.

Every pound you donate will make a real, lasting difference. Together, we can make sure that patients living with dementia receive the respect, dignity, and care they deserve during their time with us. No matter the size of your donation, you will be helping us transform the experience of dementia care at Rotherham Hospital.

Please join us in making a difference today. With your support, we can give patients and their families hope, comfort, and quality care when they need it most.
