We are raising money in memory of our gran Margaret Webster, who passed away in the Accord Hospice on the 8th of June of this year. After being diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer in March 2023, she quickly deteriorated and was admitted to the Accord Hospice on April 4th. She was expected to last no more than a few days. However the amazing staff nursed her back to a comfortable quality of life for the limited time she had left.

Accord is there to provide palliative and end of life care to people living with or affected by a life limiting illness, both at home and the inpatient unit. They have grown and developed since its inspection in 1982. None of this would be possible without the ongoing support from individuals, local groups and businesses. They continue to ensure the care provided is safe, effective and person centered.

On August 20th we will be participating in the Paisley 10k Road Race with the Accord Hospice, to help raise funds for a fantastic organisation.

The staff at the Accord are kind hearted, compassionate and professional, they work tirelessly every day and go above and beyond for their patients and their families. Both our gran and our family received fantastic emotional and physical support from staff. Knowing that our gran was so well cared for in her final moments has given us some peace about her passing.

We will never be able to express enough, our gratitude for everything the staff at Accord have done for our gran and our family. We hope to continue to support and help raise funds for years to come.
