In celebration of John Wycliffe’s 700th anniversary, Wycliffe is inviting you to Walk for the Word: a sponsored walk that raises money to support the 1 in 5 still waiting to have access to God’s word in their own language.

Story

On Sunday 2nd June from 1pm - 70 of us from ACC (young and old) are hoping to walk to Windsor Castle (10.07miles) from the church building, largely along the Thames tow path. That equals 700 miles in total to mark the 700th Anniversary of the birth of John Wycliffe. This will be part of a national initiative by Wycliffe Bible Translators to mark this event and raise money.

We can’t imagine not being able to read God’s word in my own language. It’s so important to us and we want to help other people to be able to do the same.

It’s been 700 years that we have had the Bible in English and we think it’s about time that everyone in the world is able to read about and know Jesus through the Bible in their own language.

Will you sponsor us to help give to this great cause?
