Story
Annual Global Asbestos Awareness week begins on 1st April 2025 and ends on 7th April 2025.
We will be walking across 7 seven bridges in London raising awareness of the dangers of asbestos, the diseases asbestos exposure can cause and raising funds for London Asbestos Support Awareness Group. We are joining sufferers, family members, nurses, lawyers and colleagues for this event. All funds raised will go towards the funding of Mesothelioma UK Clinical Nurse Specialist Sponsorship. Each participant will donate £10.00 for entry and will include a route map, refreshments on completion and a wristband. We also would like to encourage participants to raise funds by sharing this page.
We will meet at Parliament Square from 10.30am for a start time of 11am. We will walk together across Westminster, Waterloo, Blackfriars, Millennium, Southwark, London & Tower Bridges. There will be toilet breaks along the 5 mile route.
The walk will be taken at a pace suitable for everyone taking part - there is no rush to beat a time, please note there are steps along the route.
