HEYYY!!! I'm taking part in the World AIDS Day RED RUN 2024 supporting PrEPster!
Held annually on the last Saturday in November, the World AIDS Day RED RUN is a charity fun run and walk that unites the HIV sector to raise awareness and vital funds for HIV support and prevention projects across the county.
PrEPster is a program of The Love Tank, a not-for-profit community interest community (CIC) that promotes the health and wellbeing of under-served communities through education, capacity building and research.
Through our work we aim to educate and agitate for PrEP access and improve the sexual health in England and beyond. www.prepster.info
Since last year's Red Run, The Love Tank (PrEPster's mother-ship) has launched a global programme to support queer migrants; we've produced harm reduction info for steroid users and brand new information about DoxyPEP to reduce STIs; we've organised dozens and dozens of free events to build communities; we've ramped up our harm reduction work - including the monthly needle exchange programme we run with our siblings at Safe Only Ltd; and that's before we even mention the on-going programmes around HIV PrEP we lead through PrEPster.
But this year we need your support more than ever. Massive cuts to public health budgets, along with defunding of programmes has seen some long-standing organisations close in the last 12 months. More than ever, small organisations like ours are relying on the support of events like Red Run to continue to thrive.
