Climb for a Cause is a fundraising program at WNPF that gives climbers a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb Washington's iconic mountains while giving back to the parks.

Story

I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be participating in a 3-day summit attempt of Mount Rainier (Tahoma) this June, alongside a group of my coworkers from Amazon. We have decided to push our physical limits to new heights—quite literally!—by tackling this iconic peak. The climb will not only test our endurance and skill, but also allow us to give back to the national parks that we love.

In partnership with world-class International Mountain Guides, WNPF is orchestrating a unique fundraising climb of Mount Rainier. Proceeds from our fundraising efforts will support search and rescue operations in Mount Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades National Parks.

I hope you’ll consider clicking “Give Now” to cheer us on—and perhaps provide us with some words of encouragement! Every contribution, great or small, will make a real difference. Wish me luck conquering this mountain, and thank you in advance for your support. The views from the top will be spectacular, I’m sure—but your donations and support for our parks are the real reward.

Edit: To sweeten the deal, I'm making a personal commitment: for every dollar raised between now and the end of May, I will climb one flight of stairs as part of my training. I'll post my progress on my campaign page.
