Story
Fundraising event at the Factory Performance Space, Sligo, 12pm-8pm, 14th December.
The situation in Gaza is beyond catastrophic, over 42,000 of people have been killed, 17,000 of them children, and over 100,000 injured. Over 2 million have been displaced and hunger and famine are widespread.
Arts for Palestine is a collaborative performance event bringing together visual artists, dancers, musicians, and circus performers, creating a unique space for reflection and connection in an expression of solidarity with the people of Gaza.
From 12pm to 8pm we invite you to call in to the Factory Performance Space in Sligo, spend time, light a candle, and donate.
The event also includes an exhibition and silent art auction in the theatre foyer. Bids on the artworks can be given throughout the day, with the latest highest bid figure available at all times. The successful bids will be revealed at the close of the event at 8pm.
Our chosen charity, The Amos Trust, has been working in Gaza for many years and has important connections with communities on the ground, providing much needed medical support as well as meals and mobile infrastructure for thousands of displaced Palestinians.
All proceeds go directly to the Amos Trust Gaza Emergency Appeal. For information on their work in Gaza, click here.
