Story
We are the UK's leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. Since 1962, we have been providing support, guidance, and advice, as well as campaigning for improved rights, services, and opportunities to help create a society that works for autistic people.
In 2021, our lives took an unexpected turn when my second child, Arlo, was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three. It was a challenging period for our family, filled with uncertainty and questions about how to best support our child.
During this time, we discovered a lifeline - a charity that truly understood the unique needs of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. This organisation provided us with invaluable support and a wealth of knowledge when there seemed to be little help available elsewhere.
Now, I am participating in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 as part of Team Autism. This marathon is not just about running; it's about raising awareness and funds to ensure that other families like ours receive the support they desperately need.
I am reaching out to you today with a request - please consider making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal of £500. Your contribution will go directly towards providing vital resources, services, and advocacy efforts for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
