Arthur's Fun Run - Raising money for Bury Hospice

James Mainwaring is raising money for Bury Hospice
In memory of Grandad Paul

Arthur's Fun Run · 15 February 2026

Bury Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to hundreds of residents and their families across Bury. It will cost to run the Hospice this year £4.8million and we raise 83% of this total, but with the support of our community we continue to provide care and services to those who need it.

Story

Hello, my name is Arthur and I am 7 years old.

I am doing this fun run to raise money for Bury Hospice in memory of my grandad.

My grandad was loved, very funny, and had a kind heart. He was very special to me.

Bury Hospice looked after my grandad and helped make it possible for my grandma, my daddy and my auntie to be with him as much as possible. That meant a lot to our family.

I feel a little bit nervous but very excited about doing the run, and I want to help Bury Hospice so they can keep looking after other families too.

Thank you very much for supporting me ❤️
