James & Arran Fire Walking at the BECBC Turns 20 Party , 13 September 2023
We provide support services in West Cumbria to those affected: domestic & sexual abuse

Story

On 13th September as we celebrate #BECBCTurns20, James & I, alongside other members of the BECBC community will complete a fire walk to raise funds for The Freedom Project.

Too many people are victims of domestic abuse, and what is so incredible about The Freedom Project is that it works with perpetrators as well as victims. It makes a huge difference to people's lives, and it needs our support to continue its inspiring work.

Victims of domestic abuse walk over hot coals every day. The least we can do is to help by doing this one time challenge to raise funds.

The Freedom Project is the only organisation offering free, long-term, community-based support in West Cumbria as part of its mission to help stop domestic abuse.

We work with perpetrators, families and children, and have supported over 10,000 individuals during our 22 years. Referrals last year increased by 57%.

Our key services include a helpline, group support for adults and children victims of abusive relationships, one-to-one counselling & training.
