In March 2024 I will set off to paddle my kayak around the UK and Ireland and cover 5,000 miles in about 6 to 7 months. My plan it to leave from Thames in London, and then paddle clockwise until I come back.

I hope to meet with people from all walks of live along the way, and use the opportunity to raise money for St Mungo's to help fight homelessness in the UK. With rising inflation and interest rates swamping the UK economy even people who with good jobs and means are going to face difficult times, especially in the next twelve months.

No one is immune from falling on hard times. Organizations like St Mungo's are there to catch you before you fall too far in the hole, and to give you a rope so you climb back out and stand on your feet.
