All Roads Lead to Rome · 4 March 2024 to 9 March 2024 ·

A new fundraising challenge for 2024.

Story

On March 9th 2024, Scots fans in Rome will honour the memory of Doddie Weir by marching from Piazza del Popolo to the Stadio Olympico for the 6-nations match between Italy and Scotland. In the run into this, Doddie Gump are laying down the challenge of “All Roads Lead to Rome”, as an MN5DF fundraiser.

The London Scottish Team of 6 riders and 3 drivers will be setting off from Richmond on 2nd March with the aim of arriving at Piazza Navona in Rome by 5pm on Friday 8th March 2024 for a celebratory Limoncello with fellow riders and supporters.

The route will see us ride in excess of 2,100 km and with 14,800 m of vertical ascent over 7 days! That is a long way, with a lot of climbing, and a long time in the saddle, but the cause justifies the effort.
