In 2025, supporters will be trekking to Everest Base Camp to raise money for disadvantaged people in Nepal. Our target is to generate much needed funds for ongoing projects in Nepal and new projects advocating diversity and inclusion.

Story

In September 2025, I will be trekking for 11 days to Everest Base Camp (to an altitude of 5,364m) to raise money for this wonderful charity.

The charity is run by volunteers, ensuring that the funds generated by its supporters have maximum impact in Nepal.

Who is New Futures Nepal?

New Futures Nepal supports disadvantaged people in Nepal to live fulfilling lives. Their most significant projects are two homes that care for more than 35 disadvantaged children. They also support Cerebral Palsy Nepal to provide daycare and outreach for children with cerebral palsy, and they run a Lifeline Scheme to relieve immediate hardship (e.g. providing earthquake aid to communities in 2015, and then pandemic aid in 2020/21).

Their current focus is on the construction of a supported-living building in Kathmandu for disabled adults in order to provide adequate care to individuals who require continued care into adulthood.

Please give what you can! It's a great cause - thank you.
