Story
Can you imagine a world without computers? The students at the Asha Vidhyashram School in Nepal can. Whilst technology has become a key part of student life, students at the Asha Vidhyashram School have limited access to computers and other IT resources, making it a challenge for them to study efficiently and gain the tech skills necessary for their future. To support the students’ education, Mark Templer and Archie Kendall are climbing Mount Lobuche in the Himalayas, a stunning height of 6,119 metres, to raise funds for the students to have new laptops, tablets, projectors, point-and-shoot cameras and more. This adventurous climb begins on 20 October 2023 and ends 5 November 2023. The Asha (“asha” means “hope”) Vidhyashram School opened 28 years ago, and has educated hundreds and hundreds of underprivileged students with a free, high-quality education. Many of the students have gone on tosecondary school and higher education, obtaining the skills they need to overcome poverty. Join us as we help these children reach their full potential.
