Story
Residents and Staff at Leonard Cheshire ARBI unit are coming together to take part in the Belfast City Marathon 8-mile walk. The money raised will help the service continue its vital work in supporting the residents return to maximum independence and social reintegration.
Our residential treatment centre is the first of its kind throughout Ireland and provides groundbreaking rehabilitation for adults with an Alcohol related brain injury (ARBI).
ARBI is a reversible condition and up to 75% of patients can make partial or complete recovery if given personalised treatment and care.
By supporting our unit, you are supporting the pioneering treatment of people in Northern Ireland achieving better patient outcomes, cost savings and significant reductions in recurring hospital admissions.
We would really appreciate any support for our fundraiser. Having taken part in this event last year we saw firsthand how beneficial it was not only in terms of the funds raised, but also providing residents a sense of achievement and the opportunity to give back to the unit.
