Story

RUNNING IN AID OF THE DISABLED

At 6'2", Anton has never had a runners build. But the Comrades is such an iconic race in South Africa, that Anton could not resist trying, and completed it in 2003, 2010 and 2011. Given the lifestyle of his recent stints in Zambia Anton got very unfit. He started training again in early 2023 and has since lost 36kg. Always up for a challenge, Anton is having a go at the London Marathon in April 2024.

Anton's fitness regime has incorporated ideas from the books Fast 800 Keto and Born to Run. He is currently off-starch, fasting, fermenting his own kefir and drinking home made iskiate! He is also changing his running style to mimic the natural tempo and style of the Tarahumara tribe. Anton will update this site with his latest trialed techniques.

Anton has partnered with Able Child Africa, and will be fundraising in support of them helping disabled children in several African countries. Thank you for your contribution.
