Story
I have decided to run the 2024 London Marathon in memory of my dad, who passed away suddenly and completely unexpectedly in August 2023 aged 66, he also ran his own marathon challenge albeit some time ago!
Whilst running the marathon I have decided to raise money for Wooden Spoon who are the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage. I am hoping to raise a minimum of £4k and every donation counts, I really appreciate all the support everyone can offer.
Your generous donation and support will be greatly appreciated and will go along way in making a positive impact on the lives of those who rely on the services and support provided by Wooden Spoon.
Thank you
Anthony
A word from Wooden Spoon
Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help. Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities. We have a national footprint, but the largest part of our income is raised by volunteers like Anthony, please give him all the support you can through his London Marathon challenge.
