We're looking to raise money for Space4Autism, a charity close to our hearts.

Space4Autism are an independent Cheshire based charity that provides a range of clubs, activities and services for children, young people and adults with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and their families. Activities are delivered on a daily, weekly, fortnightly and sometimes monthly basis from the HQ in Mill Lane, Macclesfield. Autism (including Aspergers Syndrome) is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them.

Beginning back in 2005 when, as a group of parents of children with ASC, they got together to do something about the lack of support and services for families like theirs. Initially, they formed a Saturday children’s play club, which steadily grew into the 10 clubs they run now for children, young people and adults. They now have 32 staff and 60 volunteers, delivering a wide range of services and support. Between them the volunteers contribute over 150 hours of their own time every week! Many of the parents from the first meeting are still involved. There are 8 trustees who, as well as bringing personal experience of autism, bring valuable experience from the fields of finance, HR, child and community care, business, operations management and safeguarding, they also volunteer a lot of their own time. to date, there are over 6500 members.
