Annika, Sarah, and Denice are teaming up to raise money for the fight against rabies worldwide!

We're a dynamic veterinarian team of 3 headed to the south of England this September to drive a tuk-tuk thru Cornwall in an Amazing Race-type challenge. We'll try to keep our little vehicle on the road and on track with the clues we have to solve to get to our destination over a 2 day race. But the real reason behind this challenge is to raise money to fight deadly rabies that is killing dogs and people (tragically mostly children) around the world. All for lack of a simple and highly effective vaccine.

Around the world someone dies from rabies every 9 minutes. You can help change this.

Over 99% of human rabies cases are caused by an infected dog bite. Once symptoms of the disease develop, it is fatal.

Every year, millions of healthy dogs are inhumanely killed for fear of this deadly disease. However, this doesn't halt the spread of rabies, which causes the deaths of around 59,000 people a year – the majority of which are children under 15.

Science shows that the most effective long-term rabies control strategy is through vaccination of dogs in endemic areas, so we head to rabies hotspots and run mass vaccination and education programs - protecting both the human and canine populations.

Crucially, it's working. Human deaths in our key project sites have all but been eliminated and we'll keep going until it's zero all around the world.
