Matheny is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional care, education, and transitional services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Somerset County, Matheny is comprised of a special long-term care hospital, seven community group homes, two adult day centers, a private special school for children ages 3 – 21, a fine arts program, and outpatient dental, seating, and medical clinics serving the community.
