Story
Hello! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page as I get ready to participate in the NYC Marathon to support the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. As a dedicated PICU Float Pool nurse in the Bronx, I've had the privilege of serving the community and witnessing the resilience of pediatric patients facing various health challenges. From comforting children with minor ailments to supporting families through life-altering diagnoses, my experiences have fueled my passion to make a tangible difference beyond the hospital walls. The opportunity to participate in the NYC Marathon for Montefiore Children’s Hospital resonates deeply with me. Knowing that every donation received will directly impact the lives of these courageous children and their families fills me with a sense of purpose and determination. I am particularly drawn to the focus areas supported by the funds raised, including integrative medicine, palliative care, and parent support groups. These critical services play a pivotal role in optimizing outcomes and providing holistic care to our young patients. Moreover, the partnership between the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, and The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore underscores the collective commitment to pediatric cancer research and patient care. By joining forces with these esteemed organizations, I am honored to contribute to the ongoing efforts to combat childhood cancer and improve the quality of life for affected children and their families. Running the NYC Marathon for The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore is more than just a personal challenge for me; it is a profound opportunity to give back to the community that has become my second family. Through this endeavor, I aim to raise awareness, foster hope, and build lasting relationships with patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. I am prepared to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to training and fundraising efforts leading up to the marathon. With your support, I am confident that together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of pediatric patients at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. I look forward to representing CHAM as a proud participant in the NYC Marathon.
