Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
We are Team "Les Franglos", and each of us has a story to tell. We have come together to help others and remember loved ones.
Helen
I never expected to hear those words "I'm sorry, but it is breast cancer". But I consider myself fortunate. I had a great surgeon and oncologist, a caring team of nurses, supportive colleagues (both mine and Mike's) and just out-of-this-world brilliant group of family and friends who were there for us throughout 2024 from all corners of the world. To all of you, know that I am forever grateful for every message you've sent to check up on us, distract me, raise my spirits, and making me smile with all those flowers and care packages (for some, at a time when things were difficult for you too). Thank you. 2025 brings me a new start, and as I regain my mobility and strength it seemed like a perfect opportunity to give something back to the charities that helped me. Your donation funds the amazing support that Macmillan provides up and down the country, for people just like me.

I have often felt helpless to my friends and many family members sadly affected by cancer. Thinking of my mum, my auntie, my “Mamie”, my cousin, all of whom I wish I could have done more to support. Your donation goes to MacMillan, to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support.
