Anne's fundraiser for Samaritans

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Being a Samaritan means being there for people who need someone to listen. Every 10 seconds Samaritans respond to a call for help. No judgement. No pressure. They are there for anyone who needs someone. Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy.
Back in the 1970's and 80's my mother was a Samaritan and I recall her heading out in an evening with her sleeping bag under her arm to man the night shift. I feel very honoured to now be part of such a wonderful organisation. If you are able to donate, even if it is only a small amount, it will help to keep the phone lines open. They operate 24 hours a day and are run by a huge network of highly trained volunteers.
And so....the challenge.....a 1085 metre climb to the summit of Snowdon. And all in the dark with only a torch or moonlight to guide us. Bring it on!
