So this year I have decided to run the Sheffield half marathon as part of Team Theo (Sheffield Children's hospital charity), something I vowed to do 16 years ago while my son George was on the Intensive Care unit at Sheffield Children’s hospital. Every year I have had or found a reason to not do this. However, this year I have no excuse and the reason I am doing it is for these boys. Owen, Henry, and George have an unbreakable bond and their care, compassion and support for each other has shown us all what family is truly about. Bravely led by Owen in his battle against cancer their strength, resilience, and ability to find laughter in every situation has been a sign of hope to us all. Recently we received the devastating news that Owen's cancer has returned. We are all in awe of Owen and as he has found the strength to fight again, I have no excuse but to finally face those Sheffield hills! So please donate whatever you can afford as every little will help to support the literally lifesaving treatment they provide every day. All donations will go directly to Ward 6 (Children's oncology).
