Story
Across the world people are persecuted for having a religious belief, and Christians are the most persecuted. These organisations work to support Christians (CSW supports those of other faiths also,) who are persecuted, by bringing attention to the victims, researching and advocating for them, supporting them with legal costs, helping them move if necessary, but above all praying for the persecuted and their families.
Any money raised will be split equally between the two organisations.
Thursday October 19th: A complex (holiday+illness+hospital) few weeks kept me away from water so it was wonderful to get back in this week. In the first 5 weeks of the 12 week challenge more than half the distance was covered, which leaves an easier 7 weeks remaining. Thank you to everyone who has contributed here or on the sponsorship forms. Your encouragement means so much and I keep in mind the 4 individuals who give me so much motivation: Ruth in Cuba, Pastor Wang in China, Leah in Nigeria, and Truyen in Vietnam. Money raised will go to the organisations that support them and people like them. It is a privilege to get in the pool!

Finished the swim in 9 weeks of swimming. Thank you everyone who donated. And in the same week I heard that Truyen in Vietnam, one of the people who inspired me to undertake the swim, has been released early from prison and gone with his wife to live in Germany. That is Vietnam's human rights loss but after years in prison and failing health it is good to know he and his wife are reunited and safe.
