Mike was involved in the very beginnings of The Seaview Project in the 1980's. He later worked there as Chief Officer for a number of years until he retired. After a while he became a Trustee and also volunteered in the centre where he helped behind the tea bar.

Seaview meant a great deal to Mike. He was happiest when he could spend time with the service users but he worked with passion to provide a service that met their needs.

This year some of Mike's family are taking part in the Hastings Half Marathon to raise funds to support The Seaview Project in Mike's memory. I shall be walking, others will be running. If you are able to, please donate to support my fundraising efforts.

Seaview Project works with people who feel they are living on the edge of society, and who experience little hope for their future. They provide a range of services that meet the needs of the client group, and support them in identifying and attaining their potential and goals.

Seaview’s Main Aims are:

To provide an open-access Wellbeing Centre where people can find help, comfort, friendship and inspiration;

To help people access and maintain decent and affordable accommodation;

To enable people to achieve self-dependence;

To encourage, and provide opportunities for people to realise their full potential.
