I'm running the London Marathon in 2025 for Team Sarcoma UK!

Fundraising for Sarcoma UK
I absolutely hate running.
But occasionally, something happens that makes you really appreciate your body's ability to move - something that's so easily taken for granted.
With that in mind, next April I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Sarcoma UK! Sarcoma is a form of tumour that develops in the bone and soft tissue, it is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat.
I will be running for my brother Charlie, who earlier this year was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma tumour called Desmoid Fibromatosis (1 in 200,000). Growing rapidly, the tumour has caused significant damage to his organs and Charlie is currently undergoing chemotherapy to treat it.
For my wonderful big brother, life is scary and unknown at the moment. Charlie's world has truly been turned upside down as he navigates the challenges and unknowns of his new day-to-day.
Sarcoma UK funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected and campaigns for better treatments. They have been invaluable to our family this year.
- £25 Could fund a Research Associate to work on a Sarcoma UK research project for one hour.
- £334 Could fund Sarcoma UK's specialist Support Line for a day.
- £2,000 Could help with the manufacture of a new-generation drug (PROTAC) which specifically targets sarcoma proteins and could reduce treatment side-effects.
Donations will go a long way in helping this wonderful charity support those whose lives have been touched by Sarcoma.
Any support you feel you can give will mean the world - thank you so much in advance.
Lots of love Annabel x x x
